Airport Transportation

Rides to and from the airport around major breaks put real financial strain on students, and the cost falls hardest on low-income and international students trying to get home. To address that inequity, Duke Student Government created Duke’s first free airport shuttles.

Working with the Graduate & Professional Student Government and Duke Parking & Transportation, DSG aims to make the shuttle a tradition for every major break. The program is run by the Campus Life committee and launched in November 2024.

Open to all undergraduates, from both East and West Campus, free of charge.

Registration closes Wednesday, October 7 at 9:00 PM.

Before you go

  • Arrive 15 minutes earlyBe at your stop at least 15 minutes before your listed shuttle time so you do not miss it.
  • Give yourself 2 hours 30 minutes at RDUPick a shuttle that gets you to the airport well ahead of your flight, and leave room for traffic.
  • One piece of luggageBaggage is limited to one piece per person.
  • Bring your digital Duke IDThe driver will ask to see it before you board.
  • Cancel if your plans changeRelease your spot on DukeGroups so another student can take it. Sign up for one slot only.

DSG and Duke Parking & Transportation monitor the shuttles and will notify passengers if anything changes.
