Democracy Day is a university-wide event that promotes civic engagement amongst the students, administrators, and faculty of Duke University. DSG’s annual event engages DukeVotes, the GPSG, Duke Polis, and several other student organizations dedicated to civic engagement and committed to democratic values.
Democracy Day includes Marches to the Polls, where student leaders and organizations guide students to the on-campus polls at Karsh Alumni & Visitors Center. On BC Plaza, find specialized Democracy Day merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, and stickers. Community organizations engaged in Durham visit campus to share nonpartisan ballot guides on candidates, help students access campaign information on the candidates, and arrange to pick up their Voter IDs.
Students can pick up previously-ordered voter IDs on Democracy Day.
