The Historian is responsible for storing, organizing and compiling the institutional memory of DSG, and making DSG’s and Duke Student Body history more accessible to all. They also serve as a liaison for student groups’ archives, connecting them to their own history. They work with the Duke Archives Manager to complete their portion of this role. On a monthly basis, the Historian will reach out to student groups to offer their services, possibly attend meetings to offer insight into the archives, and put together small projects to celebrate months like Women’s History Month, Asian and Pacific Islander History Month, Black History Month, Hispanic Heritage Month, & more.
