As the Speaker of the Senate, Yash is responsible for administering proceedings and maintaining order in the Senate. This includes controlling the legislative agenda, managing floor debate, and administering the oath of office.
Allison Cato
Senate Secretary & Parliamentarian
Allison is a sophomore from Greenville, SC, majoring in Public Policy and Psychology, with a Philosophy minor. As Senate Secretary, she aims to strengthen the Senate’s overall effectiveness for the student body. She’s excited to encourage a culture of accountability, transparency, and collaboration that leads to real progress on pressing student priorities.
Brecher Sorin
Legislative Outreach Coordinator
Brecher is a sophomore from Frisco, TX, studying in Economics and Public Policy. He also currently serves as the Blue Devil Buddies Social Chair, and is excited to communicate with the Duke student body about what is happening behind the scenes in Senate meetings through the Chronicle and Senate recaps in the DSG Blast.
Maria Colunga Navarro
Legislative Aid
Maria is a freshman from Statesville, NC hoping to aid the Senate in organizing more communication and strengthening the bond between DSG and student groups across campus.

Kyla is a sophomore from Harrisburg, North Carolina planning on majoring in Public Policy with a certificate in Health Policy. Her goals this session are to provide clear communication to senate staff and aid in supporting one of Dukes most important organizations.

Sinai is a senior from Bend, Oregon, majoring in Sociology with a Medical Concentration and Global Health Co-major. Sinai’s goal this session is to get more involved with student government and facilitate connections and idea creation between Senators.
