Campus Life
The committee for Campus Life oversees the social development of Duke students and assists with university policies relating to the undergraduate experience. We handle athletic events, K-Ville, residential life initiatives, social programming, parking & transportation, and dining. Last year, we successfully passed the K-Ville Financial Aid Statute, improved access to online appointment booking, and reimagined equivalency options and the five dollar deal in dining halls. This year, the Campus Life committee hopes to complete project work allowing food point usage in Cameron Indoor Stadium & Wallace Wade Stadium, piloting an airport transportation shuttle to RDU, and integrating Quads into student life through tailgating and the planning of QuadCup competitions. Our project work is crafted with intentionality and care to address shifting student needs as Duke moves into its second century.

Leadership
Angela Chen – Vice President
As VP for CL, Angela is responsible for leading her committee and assisting with projects, managing the DSG policy agenda, and serving as the chief advocate and administrative contact for her committee. Angela’s main projects for this year are Blue Devil Buddies, Airport Transit, and Food Points in Athletics Stadiums, among others.
Romit Chunduri – Assistant Vice President
Romit is a junior from Atlanta, GA, majoring in Biology. Romit has previously served on Campus Life, heading the East Campus Healthcare Vending Machine project and working on the implementation of new water fountains in Few and Kilgo. Romit’s main goal for this year is to work with the DSG student body as well as committees to make all aspects of campus accessible and enjoyable for students and staff alike.
Senators
Annie Nam
Annie is a junior from Flowood, MS majoring in Biology and double-minoring in Chemistry and Asian & Middle Eastern Studies. Annie has served as an elected senator for the past two years, contributing to projects such as Expansion of Equivalency Points, Reimagination of $5 Deals, Enhancing Residence Hall Emergency Preparedness, Lock-Out Project, and Junior Jumpstart. Annie’s goal for this year is to build a stronger sense of community and collaboration across campus. Annie is passionate about creating inclusive spaces where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to contribute. By prioritizing teamwork and open communication, she aims to contribute to a campus environment rooted in belonging.
Kaylyn Oh
Kaylyn is a junior from Orange County, CA majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Journalism and Media. Kaylyn has been a senator since her freshman year and has assisted with projects like Enhancing Residence Hall Emergency Preparedness, Blue Devil Buddies, and Free Airport Transportation. Kaylyn’s main goal is to continue collaborating with the student body and Duke administration in an effort to work on projects that make a noticeable difference.
Clark Easley
Clark is a sophomore from Schaumburg, IL majoring in Economics, Cultural Anthropology, and Ethics through Program 2 and is a Robertson Scholar. Clark is returning as a CL senator this year, and his main goal is to ensure that all Duke students can get the full Duke experience.
Cassatt Boatwright
Cassatt is a sophomore from San Francisco, CA majoring in Public Policy and minoring in Education while completing the Child Policy Research certificate. Cassatt previously served as a CL Senator and was involved with projects such as the K-Ville Loaner Project and Blue Devil Buddies. Cassatt’s goal for this year is to focus on projects that build community and close gaps in accessibility!
Sravya Yellapragada
Sravya is a senior from Chicago, IL earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and double-minoring in Economics and Biology. Sravya has previously served as a CL senator, working on projects such as Safe Social Life in Durham and Increased Healthcare Access on East Campus. Sravya is President of Blue Devil Buddies, and her main goal for this year is to continue to leave Duke a better place than she found it.
Jackson Kitts
Jackson is a freshman from Rupert, VT, planning on majoring in Public Policy with a minor in Journalism and Media. He hopes to reduce food waste on campus and expand opportunities for students to connect with alumni through inclusive mentorship programs. He wants to create a Duke community where every student feels connected and empowered.
Samanyu Gangappa
Samanyu is a junior from Decatur, GA, majoring in Economics. He’s previously served on the reforms task force, ITAC, and the Senate Judiciary Committee and enjoyed doing A-Team last year. His biggest goals this year are expanding transparency and maintaining responsibility.
Aastha Patel
Aastha is a freshman from Hickory, NC planning on majoring in Economics & Public Policy. Through her position, she hopes to be more engaged with the Duke community and make a tangible impact by elevating the undergraduate experience! She seeks to bridge existing disparities to build a more equitable campus for all.
Faith You
Faith is a freshman from Missoula, MT planning on minoring in Photography. Her goal is to raise awareness on DSG initiatives so Duke students are in the loop more. In addition, she hopes to increase equivalency & healthcare accessibility for freshmen
She wants to make Duke’s students’ lives better through both small and large wins and wants to get to know more of the student population and have fun!
Rhianna Scott
Rhianna is a freshman from Newark, NJ planning on majoring in Biology or Neuroscience with minor in Chemistry. She hopes to implement meaningful change and elevate student voices. In addition, she wants to leave a positive and memorable impact on the Duke community!
Ella Carson
Ella is a freshman from South Carolina planning on majoring in Public Policy with a minor in Economics and a certificate in Child Policy Research. One goal she has for this year is to promote the creation of intentional spaces for connection across different communities at Duke, creating a more unified student community. Her other goal is to normalize Mental Health conversations and make support more accessible to the entire student body. She hopes to leave a lasting impact by cultivating a collaborative and welcoming environment where everyone feels comfortable expressing their ideas in pursuit of a deeper sense of community. She could not be more excited for what this year holds!
Jai Gupta
Jai is a freshman from Raleigh, NC, planning on majoring in Economics and Political Science. This year he plans to work on water accessibility and building community with HRL Staff on campus.
Diyar Demirkol
Diyar is a freshman from Orlando, FL, planning on majoring in Physics with a concentration in Astrophysics. As a senator, she hopes to get to know her graduating class and their priorities better, and be able to tangibly see the impact she makes on our campus. She would like to impact the Duke community by connecting the student body and providing students with resources to give their input on campus initiatives.
Gabrielle McLain
Gabrielle is a freshman from Upper Saddle River, NJ, planning on majoring in Public Policy. She hopes to create more opportunities for student input on the initiatives led by Duke Access and Accommodations Services (DAAS) to make Duke even more accessible for the diverse spectrum of ability statuses present in the Duke student body. She hopes that her work will promote and create the equitable campus environment Duke strives to create.
Timi Akinyele
Timi is a freshman from Johns Creek, GA, planning on majoring in Neuroscience with a certificate in Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is passionate about expanding access to healthcare and wellness services for East Campus students and strengthening collaboration with the student body to create a more connected and supportive campus community.
