Devil’s Dresser

The Devil’s Dresser is a project founded by the President’s Council for Economic Opportunity, in conjunction with the Director for FGLI Affairs and the Engagement & Advocacy Committee, to allow Duke students free access to professional clothing. In the age of career funneling and hypercompetitive campus atmospheres, we believe it is essential to provide access to attire for interviews, networking events, career fairs, and other formal occasions. By removing financial barriers and collecting donations, we hope to empower every student to pursue future success with confidence.

We’re currently setting up a permanent space in Smith Warehouse, where students will soon be able to browse and borrow from our growing collection. Donations from students, alumni, parents, and community members are what make this project possible. We’re also in the process of establishing a permanent donation box in the Bryan Center for convenient clothing drop-offs.

Please contact dsg@duke.edu if you are interested in coordinating a drop-off or looking to donate to the Dresser in other ways. Thank you for your support!
