Blue Devil Buddies is a one-on-one mentorship program created by Duke Student Government in 2020 that matches incoming students with current students. The program aims to help incoming students navigate the transition to Duke by fostering a connection with a current undergraduate who can provide support, advice, and mentorship throughout the fall and spring semesters. Whether it’s picking classes and clubs or adjusting to the college environment, mentees can receive support from their mentor on a wide range of topics.

The matching survey opened on June 13th and will remain open until July 7th. Find the mentee form HERE and the mentor form HERE, or through bdb25.carrd.co!
Pairings Released
The matching forms will close on July 7th. The mentor/mentee pairings will be released soon afterward.
Buddy Bonding
You’ll then receive a set of weekly Conversation Starters Starters to help you and your Buddy bond! The BDB Team also aims to introduce in-person bonding events to help mentors & mentees get to know each other.

Leo is a junior from Greenville, SC double-majoring in ECE and CS. Leo previously worked on Blue Devil Buddies’ matching algorithm for the 2024-2025 schoolyear. Leo’s goal for this year is to ensure mentees are assigned a mentor they can learn from.
